Should You Rent a Restroom Trailer or a Porta Potty?

Rent a restroom trailer when guests or crews will use the facility repeatedly, when the event is dressy, or when the placement runs past a few weeks. A porta potty is a single plastic unit with a holding tank and no running water. A restroom trailer gives you multiple stalls, flushing toilets, running water and real sinks, climate control, and an interior people don't mind walking into.

Porta potties cost less per unit, and for a short outdoor job with a small crew they're often the right call. For a wedding, a corporate event, or a job site running through a Spokane winter, a trailer is what people actually want to use.

How Many Stalls Do You Need?

Plan on roughly one stall per 40 to 50 guests for an event running three to four hours, and add capacity if you're serving alcohol or the event runs longer. A two-stall trailer handles a small backyard wedding. A 200-guest reception usually wants four or more.
